lyrics

1st verse
I noticed a lot of you are only rapping for the sake of rapping
but I take my time to craft my rhymes so they can make things happen

culture shifter// supposed to lift ya// straight out your conditions
that’s depending if you really open up your mind to listen

a higher calling than talking about how much i'm balling
and trying to prove that I’m the best of all has got me yawning

it sound so small when these larger issues are haunting
and artists used to tackle those but now all i can see is flaunting

rappers apathetic..that’s probably why they rap pathetic
but it’s just a waste of time to argue some will never get it

for them it’s all about the shine when they spit a rhyme
and never give a thought about the healing of these broken minds

I guess it’s just a sign of the times that we living in
when decadence becomes a culture that’s all that they valuing

but they can do them..it’s really just my observation
I carve my own path to navigate through all the devastation

chorus:
sometimes I wonder about my legacy
and if I was to die today would anyone remember me

would they play my songs would they hum the melody
would they share my thoughts across the world for everyone to see

2nd verse
this could be my final album.. anytime my death could come
from out of nowhere... unexpected... eternal rested... dead and done

what impression have I left them….did I inspire anyone
could I provoke someone to think beyond where they had started from

did I promote intolerance….Or hatred with a violent wit
Will someone credit me for their degree they earned with scholarships

Will anyone acknowledge it... or feel the need to play my songs
Dissecting every single bar to prove that what I said was wrong

will I be seen as monstrous with an image that’s preposterous
and music only fit to be the sound of some obnoxious twit

would enemies remember me as the father of sin
will fans in their nostalgia see me better than i’ve been

or will they claim malevolence then seek to have my songs erased
or will someone pick up the torch from me to carry in my place

don’t want my kids to face my shadow that they can’t escape
just like an anchor wrapped around their waist that drowns them from the weight
